Spartacus Blood and Sand
Monday 24th May at 21.00
Not for the faint-hearted, the controversial Spartacus: Blood and Sand brings to life the bloody world of gladiators as the Roman Republic’s most brutal fighters clash in the ultimate arena, and depicts one of history’s most violent eras.
Betrayed by the Romans, forced into slavery and reborn as a gladiator, Spartacus (played by rugged UK-born actor Andy Whitfield) is a rebellious soldier in the Roman Auxiliary who is taken prisoner and torn away from the woman he loves. Lucy Lawless (“Xena: Warrior Princess”) is cast as Lucretia, who along with her husband Batiatus played by British actor John Hannah (“The Mummy,” “Rebus,” “Four Weddings and a Funeral”), own the slave Spartacus and the gladiator camp. The former soldier is then condemned to the ways of the arena fighter – under the brutal hand of trainer Doctore, played by Peter Mensah (“The 300,” “Avatar”) – where blood and death are primetime entertainment, and treachery, corruption and sexual allure will test him to the limit.

The Unit Season 4
Thursdays at 22.00
This January, The Unit comes storming back onto Bravo screens with its fourth action-packed series about a covert team of Special Forces operatives as they risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, while their families remain on the home front, protecting their husbands’ secrets.
From executive producers David Mamet and Shawn Ryan, The Unit is an action drama that follows Jonas Blane (Dennis Haysbert) as he leads the Unit on missions out in the field whilst taking new recruit Bob Brown (Scott Foley) under his wing. The Unit includes Jonas, Colonel Tom Ryan (Robert Patrick), Mack Gerhardt (Max Martini), Charles Grey (Michael Irby), Hector Williams (Demore Barnes) and Bob Brown, all highly skilled, trustworthy, brave and dependable soldiers whose ability to rely on each other is what creates their brotherhood. Ensuring they stay alive as well as carrying out their duties is second nature to the team. Jonas’ wife, Molly (Regina Taylor), is the base matriarch who comforts and counsels the other wives as they cope with the fear and uncertainty they experience when their husbands leave home. Molly and Tiffy Gerhardt (Abby Brammell), a wife hiding her own dark secrets, help Bob’s pregnant wife, Kim (Audrey Marie Anderson), acclimate to the stress of her new secret life.
Chuck Season 2
Tuesdays at 21.00
Chuck Bartowski – super-nerd turned secret-agent
Chuck Bartowski just might be the world’s nerdiest secret agent. A regular twentysomething video-game enthusiast, Chuck’s life is thrown into disarray when he opens an e-mail subliminally encoded with government secrets and unwittingly downloads an entire server of sensitive data into his brain. Suddenly, the fate of mankind lies in his unlikely hands, and Chuck is catapulted into a new career as the government’s most vital agent.
Instead of fighting computer viruses at the Buy More electronics store as part of the Nerd Herd, Chuck must now confront assassins and international terrorists.
Assigned to protect Chuck are the bristly John Casey (Baldwin) of the National Security Agency and his partner, Sarah Walker (Strahovski), the CIA’s top agent — and Chuck’s dream girl. Chuck’s best buddy and fellow Buy More employee, Morgan Grimes (Gomez), thinks the reason Chuck doesn’t hang out as much anymore is because he’s dating Sarah, something Chuck’s ever-supportive sister, Ellie (Lancaster), and Ellie’s fiancé, Captain Awesome (McPartlin), also believe. Ellie has even asked Sarah to be a bridesmaid in her wedding.
Meanwhile, Chuck still has to show up to work at the Buy More, answering to his boss, Big Mike (Lawrence), and attempting to handle the attitude and posturing of the Nerd Herd’s Lester (Sahay), Jeff (Krinsky) and Anna (Ling). Chuck and Sarah also must deal with their feelings for each other, and try not to let a brewing romance get in the way of saving the world. Yet this could be a task that proves too daunting — and dangerous.
