Big Trouble In Thailand
Fridays at 10pm, starting on 7th May
Nearly one million British tourists visit Thailand every year in search of the country’s famed abundance of sun, sea and sin. They come for a party paradise, but this tropical playground is not always heaven on earth. When tourists misunderstand local customs or fall foul of Thai law, minor misdemeanours can mean grave consequences, and a dream holiday can descend into a nightmare.
Big Trouble in Thailand follows the tourist police – including specially recruited British expats – as they try to keep visitors safe and under control. The action-packed show lifts the lid on the hidden dangers of tourism in Thailand.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Mondays at 8pm, throughout May
Addictive US drama series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles offers a chance for hardcore fans to relive every heartthumping moment and viewers who missed the action the first time around to catch up now. Boasting executive producers Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds) and David Nutter (The X Files) and featuring writers including the man behind the hugely successful Terminator franchise, Oscar-winner James Cameron (Avatar, Titanic), the series launched to phenomenal critical acclaim in America. The sci-fi series follows in the footsteps of the hit Terminator films, in which Sarah Connor attled to protect herself and her young son John from rampaging machines known as Terminators. As an adult, John will be called on to save the human race as the leader of the resistance against the machines that dominate the world. Until that time, he and his mother have to battle a plethora of adversaries sent by John’s enemies in the future to stop the boy fulfilling his destiny. The series takes place after the Oscar-winning second film. Fugitives from the law, Sarah (Brit actress Lena Headey) and John (Thomas Dekker) are being pursued by an ever-evolving technological enemy that is hellbent on destroying them, with only John’s new friend, the gorgeous female Terminator Cameron, to count on for protection. Trapped in an increasingly dangerous world, Sarah’s task of protecting her son and preventing the rise of the machines is proving to be more difficult than she had ever imagined.
How Clean is Your Crime Scene?
Tuesdays at 10pm, throughout May
Revealing the grim truth about one of the world’s dirtiest jobs, US reality series How Clean Is Your Crime Scene starts on b>Bravo 2. The fascinating fly-onthe-wall show follows the professionals whose job it is to clean up some of America’s most gruesome crime scenes – and who make bucketloads of money doing it. Sure it’s ghoulish work but someone has to do it, and who better than ex-Navy man Neil Smither and his team of hardened military veterans at Crime Scene Cleaners Inc. Running a tight ship, Neil and his men work behind the scenes with military precision to clean up messes no one else will touch, risking infection with HIV, Hepatitis C, and contact with flesh-eating bacteria, as they make homes, hotels and highways once again safe and sanitary for the public. Not a career for the faint hearted, the life of a crime scene cleaner is a parade of grisly surprises like the aftermath of brutal murders and the tangled results of traffic accidents. But for these steely-nerved pros, no assignment is too ghastly to take on.
