Escape To The Country returns to Home this month with channel premiere episodes from series eight, all featuring tips, advice and lashings of beautiful countryside to convince viewers that moving out of the rat race and into rural Britain needn’t be just a pipedream.

Presented by Alistair Appleton, Jules Hudson and Melissa Porter, Escape To The Country helps more families relocate from their current city homes to a more peaceful and rural retreat. As ever, it’s the job of the skilled presenter to gauge the featured family’s budget, and go out to find four properties for the family to view.

In this series, the team visits rural idylls like Norfolk, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Wales, Sussex, Gloucestershire and Cornwall.

Gutted is back for a second series of clearing out people’s homes. Its the show in which hoarders have to choose between cash or keeping the possessions they have accumulated.To get them back they have to remember each item and answer a question about it. If they get the question wrong, the item is put up for auction. Once the items have been sold, the hoarders are offered either their possessions back or the cash that has been raised.
